Traxxas TRX-4 1979 Bronco: A Miniature Marvel of Off-Road Precision

Traxxas TRX-4 1979 Bronco

1979 marked the end of the iconic 2nd generation of Ford Broncos. Traxxas’ reimagining of the popular ’79 model shrinks down to tiny scale, piloted by high-tech RC technology. With its distinct Sunset paint and rugged looks, the body style of the Traxxas TRX-4 Bronco reflects that of the larger, more luxurious second-gen Broncos, which were some of the most popular models during its original run.

Super innovative technology combines with precise engineering to create a completely new breed of scale crawler with this TRX-4 chassis. A rigid steel frame that includes crossbars gives the Traxxas TRX-4 Bronco strength that mirrors the real thing. Complementing the ultra-rugged design is the Bronco’s fully waterproof exterior; not just splash resistant, this mini crawler is prepared for any terrain, no matter the weather. Tiny portal axles give the Traxxas Bronco enough additional lift to keep it on to-scale tires. Plus, they’re designed to eliminate torque twist, ensuring that all the electric power is spent driving the Bronco forward.

Officially licensed by Ford, this Bronco is the definition of small but mighty. It’s available with a bevy of accessories that don’t just look like the ones you’d put on your full-size Bronco – they perform like it, too. Down to the details, including manual locking hub details on wheels, molded inner fenders, and fully functional rock sliders, the ingenuity and care put into developing this miniature Bronco are clear.

Traxxas TRX4M Bronco

Thanks to Traxxas’ TRX-4M technology, your 6th-gen Bronco is now available in 1/18 scale. The tiny platform is super realistic, with the outdoor maneuvering capacity of a crawler-scale vehicle but all the details of 1/10 scale model trucks. Oil-filled shocks, steel frame rails, and a smooth-running drivetrain give it the ability to climb over rocks and cross grass and streams with ease. Plus, its tight turning radius and precise throttle control give it indoor maneuverability, as well.
